One of the First Mints in the Croatia

Pakrac was first mentioned in the XIII. century as a possession of the Knights of St. John. In 1256. Pakrac had the privilege of minting money. It is believed that this was also the first mint of the Croats. Important sacral objects from the XVIII. century are located in the historic center of town, where the palace of Baron Trenk and remains and one of the first mints in Croatia. Top Brezovo field (984 m) on the Papuk mountain is the highest peak of Požega and Slavonia.
