Sveta Nedelja

The Youngest Town in Zagreb County

Sveta Nedelja, the youngest town in Zagreb County, is geographically located in a very attractive area; surrounded by hills, lakes and the Sava River. It is located seventeen kilometres west of Zagreb, and five kilometres from the Slovenian border. Situated between Zagreb and Samobor it is known best for Holy Trinity, its parish church, which sits atop a hill at the heart of the town. The town of Sveta Nedelja is classified as one of the economically and demographically stable towns in Croatia; this is the result of a foundation in strong entrepreneurial activity, which is further strengthened by the town’s proximity to the Zagreb-Ljubljana highway, which opens the area to new developmental prospects. As it is considered to be quite the desirable location there is a continuous influx of new residents. Situated between Zagreb and the Slovenian border it provides attractive housing opportunities.
